DR CHARLES BROWN is the founder of Preverty Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Maryland United States. He started off as an athlete at Johns Hopkins University, where he was also studying biomedical engineering. When he graduated, he had aspirations of playing professional ball like most athletes, and blew out his knee, and that kind of ended his career back then. Now, ACL surgeries aren’t career-ending, but back then it was.
So he then dedicated his life to, you know, being able to treat people that have these injuries to try to not let it end their careers. He then went to New Jersey Medical School in Newark, which is now part of Rutgers, and then did his residency in Brooklyn and New York City, and then a fellowship in Indianapolis with the doctors who took care of the Colts, and then came back to Maryland to start his own practice.
